Minna Technologies recruits Tiama Hanson-Drury as new Chief Product Officer

Tiama’s addition follows Minna’s €18.8M Series B raise with investors including Element Ventures, MiddleGame Ventures, NineYard Equities and Visa. Her appointment illustrates the hyper-growth trajectory and scale for Minna as they take a product-led approach to this global expansion.

Gothenburg, Sweden 9 April 2021: Swedish subscription management BaaS, Minna Technologies announced today that Tiama Hanson-Drury has joined the executive team as the new Chief Product Officer.

Tiama brings over fifteen years of experience in driving product-led growth, most recently as EVP of Product at consumer data platform company Dynata and before that, EVP of Product, at enterprise research platform firm, Zappi. Previously she held senior leadership positions at Kantar and WPP. Tiama will help drive Minna’s mission to become the leading subscription management platform as the firm expands through Europe and continues its growth into new markets including the US and Australia.

The team at Minna are passionate about building the next generation of financial products to make people’s lives better. Minna’s mission is to help retail banks, through open banking, deliver powerful digital experiences within subscription management. Partnering with top-tier banks across Europe, currently, around 20 million people benefit from Minna’s subscription solutions.

Founded in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2016, Minna Technologies enables customers to manage subscription services via their existing bank’s app. Minna’s proposition follows the trend that the first wave of neo-banks is about to be accompanied by a second wave of overlaid services. The average European is spending £301 (€333) a month on 11 subscriptions, which is predicted to increase to £459 (€508) a month on 17 subscriptions by 2025. IDC predicts that by 2050, 50% of the world’s largest enterprises will focus the majority of their businesses on digitally enhanced products, services and experiences.

I am incredibly excited to join Minna at this pivotal moment for the company and for innovation more broadly. The opportunity for open banking to enable financial wellness and empower consumers to make conscious buying decisions through their banking relationships excites me. As a firm, Minna’s purpose-led approach to harnessing innovation through partnerships speaks to the next generation of FinTech and I am proud to be part of that journey. Minna is uniquely placed in this trend because of its data and product-led approach to solving problems.” says Tiama Drury, Chief Product Officer at Minna Technologies

We are delighted to welcome Tiama to the executive team, and it is through her product-led focus and experience in hyper-growth firms, that we look forward to leveraging her perspective greatly. Our culture at Minna is built on the foundations of diverse thinking to drive innovation, and she embodies that approach.” says Joakim Sjöblom, CEO and co-founder of Minna Technologies
